When I returned to this video something unique stood out to me. There were trees reflected in the water, of course… but as I moved from right to left and back again, I saw the Earth’s heartbeat in the form of a pulse on a heart rate monitor across the landscape.
*The birds in the background are Loons, signalling to each other, their location.*
So, what is frequency and why should we care?
Curiously, in Latin frequens or frequent once meant crowded and denoted a gathering of people before its emphasis on being a tool for measurement was known.
Measuring sound waves and electromagnetic waves of light… that’s us - you and me in our spiralling energetic form - consistently transmitting a signal, whether we are aware of this or not.
And yet, while we can measure the frequency of a melody, as an example, it’s not so easy to discern our frequency and the signal we transmit as a being of light. Likely, one way to determine that is to acknowledge how the Earth, animals and people respond to us. However, this isn’t guaranteed either, as some people are repelled by beings embodied with a lot of light, while others are naturally attracted to that which they are. Some animals pick up on anomalies in our energy field that we’re not aware of. And sometimes, even when we think we are attuned to the Earth and nature’s natural ways of being, it is not until we are suddenly shown that we are, than we realise we haven’t been.
That said, as Earth has her own consciousness and animals do too, the more we immerse ourselves in nature and take the time to be in the company of animals, the more we naturally recalibrate to Mother Earth’s nature-waves of light. Of course, there are many components to Mother Earth’s garden: animals, trees, rocks, soil, air, water and so forth - as I’ve written before, we are guests in her home.
I feel it’s how we go about immersing ourselves, and you may agree. For me, writing Knightsbridge gave me a few clues -
The road that called his name was lined with gold and shrouded in fine dust particles of luminosity.
[…] the simplest form is silence in stillness.
Many months later and I would interpret from being introduced to Dr. Jacqueline Hobbs, that while there isn’t always silence we can choose to be still… and the road that called my character’s name was the gold frequency.
When a Fish Meets Many Fish…
At the lake, I see the fine particles of gold and mineral-rich mica glistening in the sunlight on the lake bed. It is soft beneath my feet and squishes between my toes. My dear friend Peggy is already swimming in its soft silky waters. She reaches a large slab of rock about fifteen metres from the shore and stands on it—the water level above waist height.
Once my body is acclimatised to the water, I swim to join her and stand on the significant slab of limestone rock, slippery beneath my feet with a clear type of algae.
‘It’s the first time I’ve stood on the rock this summer season,’ says Peggy.
‘It’s the first time I’ve ventured this far!’ I respond.
After a time, we stand there in the stillness - only gentle movement comes naturally from the water itself as we breathe… be… present.
A short time later, a fish swims towards us - about the length of my middle finger. Then another smaller, baby fish follows. Soon, many fish come to investigate our frequency, some almost touching my upper thigh, no more than an inch from my skin. Peggy and I are in awe as we’ve not experienced anything like this before.
‘From one fish to another… Hello!’ I say, feeling into the Piscean path I travel. Of course, symbolically.
As more and more close in around us, my nerves get the better of me and I decide to swim back to the shore. As I stand to wade my way out, a much larger fish, the length of elbow to fingertips swims in front of me. ‘Wow!’
Once again, I feel nature showing me where some of my identity’s fears lay. Yet the overall experience is something I will treasure, as any perceived separation between animal and human disappears and I acknowledge more deeply that we (human and animal) function from the same frequency.
What is your experience of frequency?
Do you have an intimate animal/creature/sentient being story to share?
May love lead the way as you navigate this day… it is a joy to journey together. Thank you. I look forward to reading your comments.

What a lovely, tranquil post, Leanda. Reading this, I felt an invitation to enter a state of calm stillness. Late summer is a great time of year to savour the water.
Nice, so am I say hello to fish. I love them.
