What is EarthAum?
You may have noticed… or not… that while my Substack newsletter is Leanda’s Substack, the URL is earthaum.substack.com.
EarthAum is symoblic of pure love, balance and harmony, service to others, humanitarianism, honesty and integrity, growth, grace and peace.
The vibration of EarthAum is our connection to the deep inner wellspring of our true nature through the sounds and rhythm of Mother Earth.
Do you remember how to be completely at home in the stillness and the silence and be fluid with the seasons and the elements?
Where did EarthAum come from?
EarthAum was the title of a trilogy of books that I began writing in 2010 when I did a Science-Fiction Fantasy course at the Wheeler Centre in Melbourne. While two of the three books were written they weren’t integrated or edited, and the third wasn’t dreamed into reality - which is likely a positive note.
The writing course was a wonderful exploration with new writing friends - some of you are reading this post - where we met every month a year after the course had finished. I learned a lot from these creatives.
The second book in the trilogy was written completely by hand in an exquisite A4 hardcover journal gifted to me by the man I met in Paris, 2015 - that story is in, In Light of the Truth.
What I found recently was a paragraph from the unplanned prequel that reminded me of my love for creative storytelling… you might resonate with those innocent and fun-loving characters that tell the story through you. There is something really unique about the emotions writers experience through their craft, one minute it can be esctasy, an inner flame burning from the inside, out and the next rapturous laughter and so many others… it is a joyous ride on an unknown road through new terrain. This begs the question: Will I revisit the EarthAum series?
No. It came from a different energy source and time than where I function from now. I will keep the name and create anew.
Truth is, I didn’t intentionally set out to have EarthAum as the URL for this newsletter. I was playing with all the settings in Substack and thought I’d create another publication for when I was ready to share it. I still don’t know how I did it… EarthAum it is!
The value of space…
Allowing for the aum of Earth’s biomagnetic field to move through me, I pause to listen deeper, feeling into an immense current… I wonder where it might take me. I have wanted to move on for some time but didn’t know what that looked like. Slowly, the more I have gotten out of the way, the more pieces that have come in to play.
At the weekend the last of my material belongings were removed from storage, thanks to my second-born son. Emptying the contents had been sporadic in the first year. Only when near the end of the second arrived did the urgency pick up speed. As you may appreciate, clarity is often absent or reminiscent of moving forward through a thick sea mist where only our immediate steps can be seen while the rest lay in ‘her’ mystery.
Why show you an empty storage unit?
I guess first you need to imagine it full… filled with the material items we collect over the years, and in my case it was an accumulation of sixteen. I say sixteen and not forty because I was forced to cull when my former husband departed this world, and that was sixteen years ago, even though there has been consistency with letting go since. The point is, I was holding onto the last of the material items because I had a dream to one day I would again have a place of my own… we’ll leave that story for another day… but the light of me knew something I had yet to remember.
Most of it had to go.
It amazed me how attached I was to particular items. One example was a pair of new motorbike gloves gifted to me from my former husband, who, as a professional trainer at that time had trained me to get my licence. I’d worn them maybe once back in 2005 and once I got my licence never rode again.
The beauty of giving these away was meeting the recipient, a 70+ years male who wanted them for mountain bike riding as he’d fallen a few times and abraised the skin on both hands. It was his gratitude that spoke volumes - I felt and saw it in his eyes.
Back to the empty storage unit and its symbology.
When we let go of what we are not using and gift it to another this creates more space for light, that is love, to enter. And when we function from more light and love, the ripple effect it creates via the current of Universal forces is like a shooting star, once it has left the scene nobody can see its after-effects, yet it can be felt across the globe.
Do you or have you had items in storage?
What was the process like for you? If you still do, my compassion and empathy rise to meet with you. May you know that the first step is the hardest… some items will be harder than others to release… and nearing the end requires a lot of patience. Overall, there is so much to appreciate… I feel lighter, there’s room to move forward with a freedom I knew was in me, but has now come to the forefront as an expression to be translated into creativity.
