SA Road Trip: Part 7
TO THE BEACH, the sign read… down, down, down I went, along a narrow path, holiday homes either side, through a tunnel… I’m a wombat burrowing through a hole.
At the next road I keep walking left until I find the next sign: PEDESTRIANS THIS WAY➡…
Down, down, down… I step, on shadows, beneath sunlit rays of luminosity, embracing the mystery of where and when I’ll meet the sea.
I must cross man’s Great Ocean Road and like the kangaroo, a few hops and I have made it through. Another set of steps and I’m finally there…
Ocean side, vast as it is wide. In the distance the lighthouse is perched, warning ships of danger - don’t come near.
I pick up a flat oval rock the size of my palm and hold it a while, listening and communicating with its vibrational frequency…
If I were in alignment with nature, then I had found the place I wanted to be. There is another place for you, says my inner me.
I thank the rock and place it back on the sand to be washed by the sea. The waves, so powerful mesmerise the me… tunnelling, sand sculptures, a surfers paradise, a keen fisherman and many a home nestled in the hillside… so much to see.
My day’s adventure, exploring Fairhaven, what a treat it has been.
The following day I would take my leave. Thank you so much for travelling with me. This completes my brief South Australia road trip. Until soon… may many flowers bloom in your neighbourhood for you to inhale their fragrances and absorb the frequencies, my next post!
