Ohhh that will be great.

I have got back Iraq now. I had finished my trip to Turkey. The honey days have passed so quickly now I’m in my job as a banker.

I cannot promise there will be any more posts about food, but I can say there will be one about nature's plant world.

Food is joy, Raed. I agree. Last night the friends I stay with had an open fire and I cooked sweetcorn and potato over the coals... so simple, healthy and delicious. What is your favourite food in Turkey?

The most favourite food I love it in Turkey is turkish doner shawarma. It is amazing.

You learned cooking early but do you love food?

For me, I love food so much but nowadays I’m on diet so no sugar no bread without any cheating

Great question, Raed, and my answer is not simple! I feel when a younger person, especially a child I wasn't so fussed about food, but as the years have passed and life has consistently changed, I grew to love food to the point of food being one of my passions. That said, in recent years, I have heard different points of view about food, which has intrigued me to reconsider how I see food.

It is a pleasure... yes. But where there is pleasure there can also be patterns of addiction that are not good for us - are we eating for our own body or our ancestors? We can eat more than our physical body actually needs. Wo we respect where the food is grown - under what conditions? Are we conscious of what is nature's natural foods and what is modified? Do we consult with our own body as to what it needs or do we follow external advice? There are so many considerations.

Removing sugar is a must, I agree... my body rejected it many years ago. Bread is different and depends on what type. When in Australia, I make my own sourdough and it is simply organic rye flour and water... sometimes I will add seeds, ancient grains, rolled oats and a little maple syrup and my body responds positively to it. Like everything in life, it is the frequency from which we do anything - eat, drink, make choices, take action - that contributes to our health and wellbeing or it doesn't. We are always doing our best. 🫒💚🥖
